Check Image Volume Sets Records Across the Board
All-Time Highs For Monthly And Daily Check Image Volume In July
SVPCO -- Electronic Clearing Services, the electronic check and check image exchange business of The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C., today said that monthly and daily average check items and dollar value set all-time highs in July.
The Image Payments Network, the nation's leading, private-sector image exchange system, reported the following highlights and volume for July:
* 245.0 million in total monthly items, a 306.9% increase compared to a
year ago
* $436.7 billion in total monthly dollar value, a 159% increase compared
to a year ago
* 11.6 million in daily average items, an increase of 12.25% from June
2007
* The Federal Reserve's volume increased 20% to 48.1 million images from
June 2007
* On July 2, a record 16.4 million items totaling $31.6 billion were
handled by the network
* M&I Bank (Marshall & Ilsley) went live on the Image Payments Network
In July 2006, daily average items were 3.0 million, total monthly items were 60.2 million and monthly dollar volume was $168.3 billion.
