World Math Day Results Announced for Top 10 U.S. Schools and Classrooms

Students from around the world join to answer 182,455,169 math questions correctly

The results for World Math Day 2008 for the Top 10 U.S. schools and classrooms are in! More than three quarters of a million students logged on to www.worldmathday.com to participate in the online event that began on March 5 west of the International Dateline and continued through the last minute of March 5 east of the International Dateline. Students of all ages and ability levels from more than 100 countries competed against each other in real-time battles of speed and skill answering 182,455,169 math questions correctly.

The country with the most students logged in was the United Kingdom (231,715 students); The U.S., (171,573 students) correctly answered 42,087,104 math questions, more than any other country competing in the online competition.
