What is the true meaning of the word supreme? Sadly, for many pizza chains, a supreme is nothing more than a token "everything" pizza -- pile a bunch of sub-par toppings on a low-quality crust and call it "supreme." But on March 3, Round Table Pizza will restore the word supreme to its rightful glory with the introduction of the Milano Roastano - The Portabella Garlic Supreme.

"Round Table already has several delicious combination pizzas worthy of the title supreme," notes Renae Scott, vice president and chief marketing officer. "The question for us was how do we take what we've been doing even higher? How do we up the ante when we already use fresh ingredients, whole-milk cheeses, and painstakingly test every recipe until we've created the most perfect, flavorful combinations?"

The answer: the Milano Roastano -- a pizza full of flavor and heightened toppings.

Creamy garlic sauce and a trio of cheeses are topped with rich, tender Portabella mushrooms on our famous crust. Oven-roasted whole garlic cloves are layered between slices of roasted sweet red peppers, pepperoni, and Italian sausage, creating a pizza that will engage all the senses.

"We are constantly competing with ourselves to make a better, higher quality pizza," says Michele Hennessey, Round Table's director of product development. "And when we come up for air long enough to see what the competition is offering, we are reassured that our idea of "supreme" is miles ahead of anything else."

A side by side comparison confirms that Round Table's Milano Roastano is a considerable upgrade from Pizza Hut's "Supreme" pizza.
