New Survey Reveals What Majority of Mothers Would Do With an Extra Hour Each Day

In a survey of over 750 women conducted by ModernMom.com, the leading online resource for today's busy mothers, more than one-third of moms (36 percent) said that if provided the luxury of an additional hour each day, they would prefer to spend that time sleeping while 19 percent indicated a manicure or massage would be their indulgence of choice. Both options ranked far higher than spending the time with the kids (less than 6% of moms) or spouse.

Moms were asked, "If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?" Their responses:

  *  Sleep                            36%
  *  Get a manicure or massage        19%
  *  Organize the house               17%
  *  Spend it with my spouse          12%
  *  Spend it with my kids             6%
  *  Catch up on work                  2%

"Today's mothers balance many roles outside of their 'mom' title, including career woman, wife, friend, chef and even part-time chauffeur, but it's important that they make their own well-being a priority too," said Lolita Carrico, Founder of Modern Mom.
